Daerah umbilikus ke arah caudal dicukur bersih bulunya kemudian kulit dipersiapkan secara aseptik untuk pembedahan dengan pemberian alkohol 70% dan povidone iodine, selanjutnya dilakukan pemasangan drape steril.
